Thank you to those parents who took the time to complete the recent behaviour survey to assist us in reviewing our behaviour policy for the federation. We received a response from 59 parents. The analysis of these responses show that:

  • 95% of parents tell us that their child feels happy at school
  • 98% of parents tell us that their child feels safe at school
  • 85% of parents tell us that their child has not experienced any bullying at school. The overwhelming majority of parents who had spoken to the school regarding their concerns felt that the school had acted promptly and appropriately in order to address the situation and consequently their concerns has been resolved.

As you know we have also spoken to the children and have gathered their views. The analysis of their responses tell us that:

  • 97% of children feel happy at school
  • 100% of children feel safe at school
  • 95% of children have not experienced any bullying at school.

We are delighted with the overwhelmingly positive responses that demonstrate that the children feel happy and safe at school. This is, of course, so important if they are to be able to achieve of their best.

Wow stars will be coming home this week, please help or encourage your child to fill them in ,all the stars go into their learning journey book that travels with them from Reception to year 6.

A huge thank you to FOPS for a fabulous disco this term and for all the Easter eggs provided. In addition, the children have been lucky enough to have skateboarding added to the PE curriculum and all the equipment has been funded by FOPS. We are so fortunate and grateful to all the hard work and support that enables our children to have so many wonderful things at Preston. Please come and support the forthcoming ‘Family Quiz Night’ on Friday 5th May. The teachers are hoping not to come last and get wooden spoons.

We hope that you enjoy your Easter break and ready to return to school for Term 5 on 18th April 2017.

 Kind Regards,

Mrs H Clements
