Learning together, we grow kind hearts and healthy minds
Welcome back to Term 4. As usual there are lots of things to look forward to at Preston. I would like to say a huge thank you for all your support with the Red Day Challenge organised by school council. So far we have raised over £700, if you have not yet returned your sponsorship money there is still time to do this. School council will meet this week to discuss what they would like to spend the money on.
Parent consultations are next Tuesday 3rd March, sign-up sheets will be available from today after school. If you already have an appointment to see Mrs Douglas and the class teacher you do not need to sign up again.
World Book day is next, on Thursday 5th March, the theme this year is dress up as your favourite book character and if possible come to school with the book to share. As always I appreciate the lengths you go to support these different days we hold and I thank you in advance. The dressing up is only if your child wants to as an alternative they can just bring their favourite book into school. We will have story time with milk and cookies. I am also running a competition for the most unusual/imaginative/creative place to read a book - simply enter a photo of your child reading but be creative. These will then be displayed in frames in the library.
